Rain

Rain, rain, go away,
Come again some other day.

What is with all the rain? For the last, like, I don’t know how long, it’s been raining cats and dogs. I didn’t mind the rain so much over the past few weeks when I had to be at work (since I had to be indoors anyway), but now, it’s wearing a little thin. I’m getting tired of battling the elements and feeling so dreadful on account to the weather. And of course, the worst feeling is battling the wind and rain just to get completely soaking wet and having to feel like a drowned cat the rest of the day. Since I drove into work today you would think that I am complaint free…well, think again. On my drive into work this morning, I encountered a whole crap load of people who don’t know how to drive in wet weather. And seriously, all these fools come out when I’m trying to get somewhere in a hurry. Some people assume that a little wind and rain justifies driving slow enough for turtles to pass you, which makes it almost entirely impossible for the rest of us to get anywhere. So yes, I’m sick of the rain.

Although, one upside to the rain is that my walk to work is much more enjoyable without homeless people camped out on the street. Score.

Welcome 2008

We are well into 2008, but I have yet to add anything new to my blog. Well…I must remedy that. On my way to work this morning, I kicked a dirty rotten pigeon. Before you animal lovers start crucifying me, let me say that the pigeon was in my way and ran into my foot. I would feel bad, but…I just don’t. To tell you the truth, I feel the desperate need to clean off my shoe since I’m sure the grim and disease the pigeon probably carries is still on me. Anyway, I digress.

The holidays have come and gone and I am glad to say that I had such a great time. I got the chance to catch up with a lot of people I haven’t seen in awhile and enjoy some amazing food. And let me just say, that it was just what I needed to get back into the groove of things. I feel so much better than I did this time last year. So much better.

2007 was a great year for me. Now I know that some people usually say that kind of thing at the end of each year, but let me tell you, I truly mean it. 2007 was a completely awesome year for me. Granted, it didn’t start off so well, but hey, you gotta make things work for you. I got a totally awesome new job, got the opportunity to travel the world and got to reconnect with some people. Yeah, last year rocked. And the fact that I have been so extremely busy the past few weeks…well I guess that’s just a testament to how much I enjoy my job now.

As for things to come, I’m looking forward to the upcoming year and hope that it brings lots of good cheer.
