The Aftermath

Thanksgiving has come and gone...and I'm sad. The food is gone, the fun is over and the Niners lost. Yeah, it's a sad time right now. :-(

However, I did get to enjoy my spankin' new camera this weekend and took a bunch of pictures. No surprise there, huh? My new camera is similar enough to my old camera that I am familiar with the features and how it works, but it's different enough from it that I miss the simplicity of my old camera. So it's just going to take some time for me to get familiar with my new camera and will provide me plenty of excuses to take more pictures. Haha...excellent...

I took a bunch of pictures at Thanksgiving. Again, not a surprise. I always do take a bunch of pictures when I'm hanging out with the cousins and we find ourselves with time to kill. I also took a bunch of pictures of the food that graced the table during our meals and found that I enjoy looking at food pictures almost as much as I enjoy taking them. Our turkey-less Thanksgiving spread was pretty awesome.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures from my Thanksgiving and here's to the end of November.

Totally Ready

I was going through my archives today and have come to realize that I’ve been slacking off. Blogging has fallen completely off my radar recently…and I’m not really sure why. I mean, I’ve been plenty busy enjoying life and going about my day…but for some reason, I haven’t been making the time or the effort to update the blog. So I gotta work on that.

Let’s see…most recently, I had a very good weekend last weekend and wish I had pictures to share. Unfortunately, my camera was stolen on Sunday…and my pictures went right along with it. It sucks. Granted, the camera was a few years old and I could’ve justified replacing it, but it’s my SD card that I’m pissed about. I had pictures on my card (from the Sharks game and the Niners game last weekend and a few others…) that I haven’t downloaded yet…and now, they’re all gone. Ugh. Fuck! So I’m in the process of getting another camera and trying not to stew about it.

Other than that, let me just reiterate how much I can’t wait for the Thanksgiving holiday. I plan to eat until I can’t eat anymore. And after battling a mild case of food poisoning (damn you mac and cheese) earlier this week, I’m totally ready to gorge myself silly. And I plan to do just that…all freakin’ weekend. It’s gonna be epic. If anyone wants to send extra stuffing my way…it would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Two Weeks

Thanksgiving is exactly 2 weeks away. Can you believe it? OMG...I'm so excited.

Thanksgiving is, hands down, my favorite holiday. No contest. I mean, food and football...I can’t ask for anything better than that. And hello? The Niners play on Thanksgiving. What better way is there to celebrate a holiday than to be eating stuffing while watching the Niners?!?! The answer is…there isn’t one. Haha. I can’t wait.

I'm chomping at the bit for this Thanksgiving holiday. Why? Because it’s gonna be freakin’ awesome. Granted, last year sucked since my grandma had just died and we didn’t really celebrate at all (yeah, it was awful). But this year…is gonna be so much better. I get to hang out in Sacramento with my super cool cousins (hi guys). We always have loads of fun together and find all sorts random things to do to pass the time. We will probably make our regular tapioca drink run, play some games and throw the football around. And...we get to have prime rib. Ooh. Prime rib. It's sooo much better than having turkey. Yummy.

So with that being said…bring on Thanksgiving and let’s get this party started. :-)

So Dark

It's dark outside. Why is it so dark outside? Oh yeah, Daylight Savings Time ended. Ugh. I hate the end of Daylight Savings Time. I would gladly trade in my extra hour of sleep for those extra hours of daylight. Better yet, take two hours of my sleep time in exchange for those extra daylight hours and let's call it a day. Sure, I would miss the sleep, but at least I'd have more time to play outside. It sucks that the sun is only gonna be out when we're all at work. I mean, how am I suppose to enjoy the sun and get my vitamin D when I'm stuck inside? Crud.

Who actually likes the end of Daylight Savings Time anyway? Does anyone really enjoy it being dark outside all the time? Anyone? Well if you are one of those people...please let me know and I'll just assume that you're a vampire in disguise. You know, I think those bears are onto something. These winter months should be strictly for hibernation. As soon as Daylight Savings Time ends, we should all go into hibernation mode. We can stock up the fridge, lock the doors and crawl into bed...and stay there 'til spring. You could spend your days just lounging around and your nights wrapped up in bed...and eating...indoors. Sounds pretty awesome huh? I mean, how cool would that be? Besides the sheer boredom of life in the winter...I think it's a pretty good idea.

Well with the end of Daylight Savings Time...it means winter is coming. Winter coming...means winter weather is not far behind. I saw rain this weekend and it was not pretty. But, I guess, I can just remind myself that cold and rainy weather brings snow...and with snow comes snowboarding...wahoo. Fine fine...bring on the snow. It'll give me something to look forward to.
