Time Away

After spending a couple (much needed) weeks away, I have returned refreshed and worry free. Yeah, things are good right now. Busy, but good. And you know, for those of you who don’t make an effort to take a vacation and spend some time away…you really don’t know what you’re missing. I can’t stress this enough. Having time away from the everyday worries and stresses in life to clear your head and put things back into perspective is completely invaluable to staying sane. But I digress…it really has been a crazy busy week.

Vacation…oh how I miss you…how does time seem to move so much faster when you’re on vacation? Don’t you just hate that? Ugh. But my vacation time was well spent and totally worth it. I got to spend time exploring Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas…and had a super fun time. Well ok…I take that back. I don’t know what it is about me that mosquitoes seem to love, but they seem to be able to find me no matter where I go. I spent a good part of last week and this week desperately trying to deal with all the bites I accumulated and trying really, really hard not to scratch them to death. I got mosquito bites from my time on a Costa Rican farmland, from my time in the rainforests of Puerto Rico and also from the porch of my hotel room in St. Thomas. Haha…the cheapest vacation souvenirs I could ever bring back. But other than these damn mosquito bites…my vacation was pretty awesome. I got to zip line and milk a cow in Costa Rica, hike through a rainforest and climb a waterfall in Puerto Rico and relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the world in St. Thomas. Trust me, you can’t get better than that.

I got a lot to catch up on…but in the meantime, check out my pictures from Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.

Don't Wake Me Up

Over

Now that the election is over and a winner has been decided…we can all go back to our normal lives. No more campaign fliers to come home to. No more campaign phone calls to hang up on. No more campaign ads to watch. Thank god.

Yes, it’s important to vote. And yes, it’s important to make an educated decision. However, all the crap that comes with an election…is just mind-numbingly annoying. So I’m glad it’s over and we can all move on.

Fall Back

Spring forward. Fall back. It was clock changing time over the weekend…and if it wasn’t for my trusty google calendar reminder, I would’ve totally forgotten about it.

I hate changing the clocks back because I hate losing my daylight. It sucks. I mean, yes, as a teenager I did like changing the clocks back specifically because I got an “extension” on my curfew. And, yes, as an adult I do appreciate the extra hour of sleep I gain because we have to change the clocks. Haha…but besides that…changing the clocks back suck. Haha.

What was my point in this? Oh yeah, having to change my clocks back. I just hate losing the daylight…springing forward cannot come soon enough.

Weekend Plans

With Giants baseball season officially over and the Niners on a bye this weekend…I’m kinda at a loss as to what to do with myself. I mean, what am I going to do with all my free time and what are we all going to talk about on Monday? Haha…no, seriously…

Well with the holiday season rapidly approaching (yes, we’re in November already), I need to start making my rounds and seeing all my people before the holiday rush hits and we all get too busy. I mean, my November is already totally shot and most of my December is already spoken for. Haha. Sooo…I gotta start planning if I really want to see everyone before the end of the year. But hey, low and behold, I got plans this weekend with some of my folks to hang out and catch up so that should be fun and I’m excited.

Here’s to a good weekend…and as always, happy Friday!

Giants Parade Pictures

I knew yesterday was gonna be crazy with the huge crowds of people expected in the City for the Giants victory parade. And let me tell you, there were hordes of people…everywhere. However, I too, felt the need to join the masses and brave the crowds to try and grab some good pictures of the players and the throngs of people. We got to the site early and we were determined to get a good spot. We scoped out a spot on the parade route, hovered until the cops diverted traffic and put up the guardrails and then grabbed great seats for the parade. With front row seats to the parade…it was a pretty awesome experience.

Check out some of the pictures from the Giants parade.
