A New Year

Happy 2013! I’m back to the daily grind and starting the blog roll for 2013. It’s almost the end of January and I couldn’t let this month slip by without a blog post to reference for this month…so, here we go.

You would think that with all the time away from this blog, I’d have plenty to talk about…but alas, I’ve got nothing. I’ve been spending my time snowboarding in Tahoe, eating at sushi buffets and following the Niners to the Super Bowl. Yup, that’s about what I’ve been up to since the last time I checked-in here…and it’s been completely amazing. :)

I’ve made visits to Northstar and Heavenly over the past couple of months and have plans to return. The conditions have been nothing but awesome up there and I’m definitely thankful I invested in a season pass. Besides, Northstar and Heavenly, Vail (oh yeah baby!) and Kirkwood (less cool) are also on my list of places to visit and board…so I’m gonna have a busy couple weeks/months coming up.

Sushi buffets…well, what more is there to say about that? If there is a heaven, it has a sushi buffet in it. How can anyone not love a sushi buffet? I’ve eaten at my fair share of buffets, and I do have my favorites, but let me tell you, there is nothing better than a sushi buffet. No joke.

And lastly, I don’t think I need to tell anyone how excited we all are for the Super Bowl this coming Sunday, do we? Yes, the Niners are in the Super Bowl and the whole city is red and gold to celebrate. It’s freakin’ awesome. I have plenty more to say about this, but short of jinxing it and being solely responsible for the heartbreak of an entire city, I’m just going to save all my comments for after Sunday and enjoy all the media mayhem in the meantime.

Now I usually post a list of all my New Year’s resolutions on my first blog post of the year, but since I’m so not in the mood for that right now…I’m just gonna keep it short. I wanna hit the gym to keep my bod in shape (at least two days a week would be cool), I wanna bring my lunch to work to save money (I’m only allowed to go out and buy lunch once during a work week) and I’m saving money (I put myself on a budget and will have a spending limit each month). And that’s it. Sounds good, right?

OK…that’s it for now. Here’s to an awesome year and go niners!
