Picture Posts

During the month of June, I will be posting a picture a day. 

Since I've been neglecting my blog and not posting as often as I used to, I need to get back into the habit of posting something (if for no other reason than to see if I can). Also, I do love taking pictures (mostly of food with my phone...ha!) but have no where to put them...so, I will utilize this blog with a picture diary and see what I can come up with (and hopefully don't wind up with 30 pictures of food...although, actually that might be kinda cool). Ha...

Hosting

I must say hosting a party is a lot of work.

This past Saturday, the boyfriend and I co-hosted a housewarming/Memorial Day bbq. And let me tell you, hosting a function at your place is hard work. We did a lot of cleaning before the bbq, a lot of bbq-ing/socializing/talking during the bbq and then did some more cleaning after the bbq. Haha...like I said, it was a lot of work.

We made the bbq a potluck affair but provided the main dishes, drinks and utensils. We provided sodas, beer, wine, a tray of fried rice, chow mein, mixed veggies and some smoked some ribs, chicken and tri-tip. Haha...we could've made do with all that...however, our group likes to cook and eat too. So...we wound up with tons and tons of food. Haha. Leftovers anyone...?   

Anyway, we invited a combination of family, friends and co-workers and overall, I think it went very well. There was a nice mix of people and a good spread of food. I included some pictures below:

Is it bad that I find this video totally hilarious? I watched it, at least, 10 times today...and it cracked me up each time! Haha. So funny...

Fun Plans

It’s the beginning of May already and dang, that was fast. 

After a super busy couple of weeks and a whirlwind weekend, I’m finally enjoying some down time and making some cool and fun plans. The last couple of days have afforded me some time to breathe and relax…and I gotta say, it’s been really nice. As for what’s coming up…well, Memorial Day weekend is coming up and it’s gonna be the start of a beautiful summer. 

For those of you who don’t know, I recently moved in with the boyfriend and we’re hosting a Memorial Day BBQ. For those of you who have not RSVPed to the Evite…you should do that soon. We’re gonna be firing up the grill and it’s gonna be freakin’ awesome. It promises to be a wicked good time. Ha! 

Fun plans, people, and I can’t wait. :)
