A New Year

It’s almost the end of January and I have no idea where this month went. It just seemed like yesterday I was chomping on a turkey leg, opening my brightly wrapped presents and watching that darn ball drop. But now, I’m neck deep in work and gearing up for a super busy Chinese New Year holiday (which is right around the corner btw). 

I know, I know, you are all sick of hearing me moan and complain about how busy I’ve been…but, seriously, it has been a crazy couple of months. I think I’ve been hoping that, at some point, everything was going to change and miraculously take care of itself. However, I’m still waiting for that to happen and holding out hope it’s still a possibility. Is that an unrealistic goal? Haha. 

With the New Year in full swing and me mentally hoping I don’t lose my mind, I’ve come up with a few New Year’s resolutions. As opposed to my resolutions in years’ past, I’m going to focus on big picture items this year and try to keep things really simple for myself. I have three resolutions – be relaxed, be happy and have fun. That’s it. This is going to be a big year for me…and I want to slow down and be able to enjoy every second of it. 

I can’t wait and I’m very excited. Here’s to an awesome and crazy year!
