North Korea

OK people, let’s talk about all this crap going on in North Korea.

Did I not say a few years ago that North Korea was going to pose a problem? Didn’t I tell you??? Yes, I believe I did!!! The United States negotiated with North Korea even though the North Koreans violated the “don’t-build-any-nuclear-weapons” agreement. Then the United States had to go after Iraq and, apparently, turn a deaf ear to everything else in the world. Not only has Iran become a concern within the last year, but now freakin’ North Korea is upsetting the whole balance in Asia without any just cause!!! What the heck is going on??? Better yet, what the heck are we going to do about it??? You know what I’ve been hearing…rhetoric along the lines of, “there is no intention to invade or attack them. So they have that guarantee. ... I don't know what more they want”…um hello??? You think that diplomatic crap is going to work on a crazy dictator who is starving and brainwashing his people??? I don’t think so. And I’ll tell you what he wants. He wants to be seen as the leader who was able to violate rules, take a tough stance, and still be able to achieve what he wants. Whether he destroys the universe in the process is a moot point.

I don't blame Kim Jong Il. I don't blame him at all. Because I think he's absolutely brilliant. He has waited for the perfect opportunity to strike up his nuclear tests. Let me just paint you a little picture...Right now, the United States has previous engagements with Iraq and is facing mounting concerns with Iran, European and Russian countries are, obviously, hesitant to get involved being half way around the world and not really knowing the appropriate response besides “condemning” his actions (I'm shaking in my boots, by the way), China has its hands full preparing for the 2008 Olympics and therefore doesn’t want to even think about a flood of refugees from North Korea impending their progress, and Japan and South Korea hasn’t had any means to protect themselves in more than a decade. Kim Jong Il is brilliant, suicidal, but brilliant.

That’s all I have to say for right now. Trust me, no one wants to hear what I think we should do with North Korea.
