Bags on Wheels
The trend of carting around your stuff on wheels is really starting to piss me off. As a frequent commuter riding public transit during peak hours, bags on wheels (i.e. wheeled suitcases, rollie bags, whatever you want to call it) is where I direct my hateful thoughts. Bags on wheels are a hazard. Not only do they roll over people, but they are always carted around by commuters who stand right in the middle of the walkways, forcing others to step around or over their luggage. Now I understand that some people need to use these bags because of back problems, shoulder problems, etc. But take it from someone with tendinitis in both shoulders and scoliosis and still carries work necessities on my shoulder each day without a problem: it's not that big of a deal, you wuss (for those of you who believe that carrying around my stuff has created my health problems, you could not be more wrong). And if your bodily troubles are so bad that you can not bear to carry a pack around, maybe mass transit isn't for you. I can arrange transportation for you in a really nice short bus that will come right to your house! But overall, I think people who say they use rollie bags because of health concerns are, you know, lying.
So to all of you commuters who use a bag on wheels, let it be known that if you roll your rollie bag over or even near my foot, it is getting kicked and/or stepped on. You have been warned.
