In Pain

I woke up this morning with the most painful crink in my neck. I was perfectly fine yesterday, but for some reason, when I woke up this morning, I could not, for the life of me, move my head without feeling extreme amounts of pain shoot from my neck through my shoulder…absolutely horrible and totally uncomfortable. And let me tell you that driving to work this morning was not an easy task. Every time I tried to look over my shoulder to check my blind spots…I basically had to turn my entire upper body because my neck hurt so much.

I already popped some pain meds…which have yet to do anything for me. I’ve been trying not to move my head without moving the rest of my body…but that doesn’t seem to be working out so well. I will say that I am in a need of a really good shoulder massage…but hey, where the heck am I going to get one of those right now?

Anyway, I find myself sitting here…cursing my body pains and regretting getting out of bed this morning. I should’ve just called in sick today…speaking of calling in sick…I am lucky enough to work for a company that has a pot of time strictly dedicated to sick leave…and yet, why do I find myself still surrounded by people who are coughing, sneezing and spreading germs everywhere…absolutely lovely…I mean, I have big plans the next few weekends…so if I get sick, I’m coming after somebody.

Where was I…? Oh right, the bastardly pain in my neck…I will be forever grateful to anyone who can make it magically disappear.
