The Race
Dear All San Francisco Giants Players:
After another awesome win against the Arizona Diamondbacks last night, I beg of you, please, please, don't lose this winning momentum. I hate to be the one harping on you boys and reminding you all that we are in tight race for a wild card spot in the playoffs, but we are in a must-win-every-freakin'-game situation. Since we are now only (you notice how I'm trying to be positive by saying..."only") three games behind Colorado, we must win every freakin' game, guys. C'mon!!!
I need to ask you all a question. Seriously, what are you guys doing to me? I love how you all thrive on this nail-biting journey towards the end of the season...but I hope you know you guys are close to giving me a huge sports related heart attack. It's just not right. I mean, shit, the defense has been solid (hey, Renteria…how ya’ doing Lewis…lookin’ good Sandoval and Ishikawa), the pitching has been admirable (hi, Timmy…what’s up, Barry)...but hello? Where the heck has the freakin' offense been all season?!?!?! I mean, ok ok, last night was a great game. Uribe and Molina, you guys rocked it out last night. Yes, I slap you guys on the back and butt for a job well-done. But you Giants really know how to keep me on the edge of my seat. I’m going to need to start popping pills to control my blood pressure if you guys keep this up. But don’t worry, don’t worry, I’m keeping the faith alive…and I just have to remember to breathe.
OK, on a more serious note. Our buddies from Colorado will be visiting this weekend and we need to give them the reception they deserve…maybe some spiders in their garlic fries, some extra sun in their eyes, and some wind in their face. Ha! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Yeah, I know, I think it’s funny too. But seriously, guys. Let’s just settle for kicking their butts back to Colorado and letting them return home as losers. Wouldn’t that be more fun? Hell yeah, it would! We can do this...we have to do this. Whose with me?!?!...Hello? I said…whose with me?!?!
C'mon boys! It's time to dig deep and keep things moving in a positive direction. I’m sure you would all hate for me to come down there and kick your butts…I’m sure it wouldn’t bode well for team morale to get your asses kicked by a girl…because then it would totally suck to be you.
With that said…I'll see you all at the games this weekend. Let's Go Giants!
