Sold Out

After years and years of proudly holding out...I can no longer say I don't use or own an Apple product. Why? Because I now have an Apple iPhone 4. I know, I know, it's a very cold day in hell right now.

Before you all crucify me for selling out, let me just say, this is partially not my fault. I mean, I've been a proud non-smart phone user with a desire to minimize, if not destroy, my electronic leashes to the world for as long as I can remember. But a few years ago, I was strapped with a blackberry for work...and until it recently died, I hated it every step of the way. My blackberry was bulky, the connection was slow and it crashed...constantly. So I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised that after dumping something into Google maps last week, and impatiently waiting for it to load, my blackberry completely crashed...and died. That was the happiest day of my life. Ha!

However, I was promptly told that I had to upgrade my phone and another blackberry was not an option. So I was given an iPhone 4. There was a choice between an iPhone or a 'driod...and to be honest, I was really torn...Apple or Google, AT&T or Verizon, keypad or touch screen...so many choices. And after some deep soul searching and countless hours of research later..I found myself strapped to a rotten apple and trying to make the best of life with an iPhone.

But I'm trying to make the best of this situation and trying to feel better about the iPhone...I figure with Verizon getting the iPhone...Verizon's service may potentially go through the same problems and troubles that AT&T faced with the iPhone. So why waste time with Verizon when I'm ok with AT&T? Also, Apple only puts out one phone a year…and since I don’t plan to upgrade my work phone on a regular basis, my phone and apps should last for, at least, a couple years. However, the only downside of all of this...if anything should go wrong with the iPhone...I'm gonna have to break down and go into a freakin’ Apple store and converse with a "genius" (oh god…) since our tech guys aren't allowed to troubleshoot an iPhone. Oh and another thing…I have to buy a protective case for this piece of crap since I've come close to almost breaking it already. Lovely..

So yeah. I have a freakin’ iPhone now. Great…
