You know, I never gave much thought to how (or more importantly when) bad things happen...but I've come to the conclusion that when it rains...it really does pour. When one thing starts spiraling out of control, everything else seems to kinda go along with it. It’s weird how that works. But hey, as daunting and overwhelming as it might seem, I refuse to take things lightly and vow to conquer and overcome. Sooo…let’s try to stay positive and focus on all the good things coming up that I can look forward to.
First, the madness is about to begin. March Madness is just around the corner…and I can’t wait for that. I mean, I didn’t do so bad last year (you know, meaning I didn’t get completely killed in the first round), and I’m anxiously awaiting the release of the bracket so I can get started on that. Even though I was never really a huge college basketball fan, well or basketball fan in general, I still love March Madness time. It’s a fun-filled, trash-talking (well, maybe it’s just me doing the trash talking...hehe), competition where you can know absolutely nothing about the game, have some lucky picks and just run away with the whole tournament. It makes for some fun times and some awesome games. So I can’t wait for that.
Second, Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend. Wahoo!!! Granted, we will be losing an hour of sleep, but hey, if it means more sunlight and longer days…I’ll take it. I mean, I know we’ll all be suffering those first couple days (well, maybe first couple weeks), trying to adjust to losing that precious hour of sleep, but we can all drag on together. I know that I’ve been having the hardest time getting enough sleep these last couple of weeks as it is, and now trying to imagine losing that hour….well, it’s not going to be easy. But hey, having those extra daylight hours will definitely be nice.
And lastly, I’m headed to Scottsdale for Giants’ Spring Training this weekend. Granted, it’s my dreaded birthday weekend and, of course, with the Giants being the World Series Champions, the crowds will be out in full force, so...this trip may have a couple downsides. I mean, I’ve heard Scottsdale is capitalizing on the crowds and prices for regular, pre-season items are now outrageously expensive (which again, is not a complete surprise, but still). Sooo…as much as there are parts of this vacation that I’m really, really, really not looking forward to…it’s still a vacation, nonetheless.
But anyway, I still stand by my claim…when it rains, it pours.
