Game On
It's almost game day...and I couldn't be more excited! Niners need to kill it on Sunday and knock the shit outta the Giants to get themselves to the Super Bowl. And oh man…I’m so pumped. Sunday cannot come soon enough for me. I mean, seriously, whose got it better than us...? No-body!
It seems like everyone is a Niners fan now. I found myself in different parts of the Bay Area this week and I’ve seen all sorts of people proudly sporting their Niners’ gear...and you know what? As much as I absolutely hate bandwagoner fans...it’s actually kinda cool and I’m startin' to dig it. I mean really, who doesn't want to be a Niners fan?!? ;-)
The NFC Championship game will bring all sorts of good things to the City and can give everyone something to look forward to (see SF Giants World Series run in 2010). Now I don’t think there is going to be as much hype or as big of a celebration for the Niners if they win the Super Bowl as there was for the Giants with the World Series…I mean, can you really imagine a million people crammed in SF Civic Center to see a parade for the Niners…? Haha. I figure the Niners won’t get as much love because the NFL post-season time frame is shorter than baseball, there are fewer playoff games for people to get really excited about and football is a much more dirty and gritty sport in comparison to baseball. True…? But still…it’s cool to see people get really excited to support the Niners.
Sooo…it’s time to finalize your game day plans, put your game face on and get this game started. Go Niners!
