A New Year

Christmastime is over
The decorations have been put away.
It's time to ring in a new year
And welcome in a brand new day.

I have nothing but fond memories
From all the experiences this past year.
It really wasn't as bad
As I had originally feared.

I enjoyed plenty of vacations
And time away with friends.
Hanging out with loved ones is great
And something I highly recommend.

The holiday was super busy
But there were plenty of good things for me.
I spent time eating and drinking
With people I rarely get to see.

I'm excited for the new year
And all it has to bring.
Looking forward to new adventures
And plenty of other random things.

So here is to a fresh start
As I put together this rhyme.
I wish everyone happiness and good cheer
And an awesomely good time.
