No Interruptions

When the game is on…I shall not be interrupted. Period. No excuses.

More specifically, if the Niners are playing…do not call me, do not text me and do not bother me. Why? Because I will seriously hurt you if I am interrupted. The Niners play four hours every week and is it too much to ask to not be interrupted during football season when I’m cheering on the Niners? Ugh. I was trying to enjoy the Niner game today, but I was interrupted three times during the game and therefore had to miss the entire third quarter! It’s a good thing the Niners won today, however I did miss a couple key plans and didn’t get to fully enjoy the bloodbath that ensued. The travesty of it all!!!!

So remember, if the game is on…Kristina should not be bothered.

Traffic

Why was traffic so bad yesterday? I mean, really…why was it so bad? It seemed like I was stuck in traffic for hours and hours. My meeting ran late (yes, people just love to talk just to hear themselves speak), I had to get all the way on the other side of the Bay for another meeting (why must people schedule things all on the same day at around the same time) and there was traffic everywhere (trust me, freakin’ everywhere). I was totally having an “Office Space” moment yesterday.

You shoulda seen me stuck in a car…on a freeway…in a million miles worth of traffic. Haha. It was not pleasant. I was already running late (and you all know how much I HATE being late), traffic wasn’t even moving and my day was only halfway over. I was in the far left lane, then switched to the right lane, then switched back to the left lane…only to feel like I hadn’t moved at all. I remember grabbing the steering wheel, gripping it tight…and then starting to pound on it a little bit. Ugh. Sucks! By the time I was done with all my meetings, I was ready to throw in the towel, let the work gods know they kicked my ass and hit up happy hour time.

But alas, today is Friday. I can’t complain, be in a bad mood…or want to kill anyone on a Friday. I gotta save all that for Mondays!

Happy Friday!

Playoffs

Giants are in the playoffs. But you knew that already, right? …Right?!?! I mean, is there any better way to pass the time in October than to follow the Giants through the playoffs? Nope. I didn’t think so either.

As most of you know, I’m a Giants fan…and my family and all of my friends are Giants fans too. So I don’t think you want to hear me go on and on about how much I love the Giants or how great it is to watch them in the playoffs or how awesome it would be for them to win the World Series again…so let me instead talk about two groups of people I hate to encounter during the Giants postseason.

Lemme ask you this, where do all the Giants fans miraculously come from when the Giants are in the playoffs? I mean, where were these same people when the Giants were having to dig deep and were on a losing streak before the All-Star break earlier this summer? Where were these so-called fans last year when the Giants didn’t even make it to the playoffs? Did these people still want to go to Giants games to support the team? Did these people still sport their Giants gear when there was no Giants baseball in October? The quick answer is no. All sorts of “die-hard” Giants fans come out of nowhere and want to all of a sudden pretend they are the most hardcore fan in the area…and you know what? I’m onto you and I don’t like you. There’s no room in the stadium for bandwagoner fans. If you want to bandwagon for a team, pick one of the teams in Oaktown…they can use all the help they can get.

On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, believe it or not, there are actually some people who live in the Bay Area (and specifically in the City itself) who have no idea the Giants are in the playoffs…and really, who have no idea who the Giants are. I know, can you believe that? I mean, how can anyone be a true San Franciscan and not be a Giants fan? I find it completely outrageous and a total disgrace. These people are the ones who will walk around the City and be like…“what’s with all the orange around the City? What’s going on?” Blah blah blah. You know, just because you think you’re all liberal and you’re an environmentalist and you’re a freakin’ vegan…doesn’t make you a true San Franciscan. You’re not a true San Franciscan until you bleed orange and black! [Sidenote: this will change to red and gold in a few months when the Niners are in the playoffs and headed to the Super Bowl.]

Alright those are my two groups of people that I do not want to encounter over the course of this next month…bandwong-er Giants fans and oblivious (or ignorant) Bay Area sports people. If you know of anyone who will fall into either of those groups, can you please keep them away from me? That’d be great and much appreciated.

Postseason tickets go on sale tomorrow. :-)

Wedding

It’s been nice to finally have time to spend on getting my pictures organized, edited and uploaded. I uploaded the pictures from the wedding and really enjoyed going through all the pictures that I took. Taking pictures is something I've always enjoyed doing. But I'm starting to realize that I actually also really enjoy going over the pictures again...organizing, editing and reviewing...fun stuff.

Anyway, going through the wedding pictures took me longer than usual since I had a lot of sorting and organizing to do. Sometimes I forget how many pictures I can actually take. You know…like a billion and a half. Ha! I'll get around to uploading and captioning other pictures from these past weeks, but I definitely know they are less pressing (since I’ve sent those pictures around already). So in the meantime, check out the pictures from the wedding.

And now that my pictures are done...everything is right in the world again. Finally.

Diet Over

Has it really been 3 weeks since I've last touched this blog? Wow. That's crazy. I have multiple picture albums that I need to upload and I have so much to catch up on. So...where should I start? Hmmm.

First and foremost, my "size 0 diet" is officially over and I have begun my attempt to gain some much needed weight back. Yes, you heard me right, I am trying to GAIN weight and can definitely afford to pack on some pounds. I have plenty of restaurants to visit, things to eat and flavors to enjoy...I may not be able to eat fast enough. I mean, my first meal after the wedding was at In-N-Out...I ordered an animal style cheeseburger, fries, a soda and a strawberry shake. And oh man...it was oh so good. This moment has been months in the making and I'm so excited. I am giving myself a free pass away from a healthy diet, gym activities and weight conscious friends for two whole weeks. I can indulge in all my cravings until the end of the month. So...bring on the food, bring on the drinks and bring on the desserts. I'm all in and ready to go.

With my schedule loosening up a bit, it's time to return to the daily grind and get myself back up to speed. I will spend the next couple of days furiously organizing and uploading pictures to try and catch myself up. But enough about me...what have you guys been up to?
